Honda Vietnam (HVN) and the Ministry of Education and Training announced on Monday that 50 of nearly 8,500 paintings had been chosen for the second round of the Children Idea Contest for children 6 to 10 years old.
The topic is "Movable idea," so the children contestants can draw any movable objects. The ideas of most paintings are inspired from real life and familiar things such as a washing sink, a bed, and a vacuum cleaner.
In the second round, all of the candidates will have the chance to turn their dreams into reality by building moving mock-ups with suitable materials and a well-prepared explanation based on the content of the painting.
After this round, 20 best mock-ups will be chosen for the final round.
Each candidate will give a presentation in front of the organizing committee. Ten among the 20 mock-ups will be rewarded, including one first, two second, three third, and four runner-up prizes.
The first prize winner will be given a trip for two people to Japan.
The Award Ceremony is expected to take place in mid-August and feature the Asimo humanoid robot.
